The initial L.W.K.M family included twenty-one (21) exuberant young people who gathered for a time of prayer and fasting at Apostle Wells' Garden Hills home to seek further guidance and direction (Acts 1:24). On May 17, 1998, Living Waters Kingdom Ministries held its first and second services at the Crystal Palace Hotel (Eleuthera and Cat Island Meeting Rooms). On May 21, 1998, the ministry relocated to the Sunshine Shopping Plaza (Blue Hill Road). Within a year and a half, the membership grew to ninety-four persons (not including children), and today, LWKM’s membership exceeds 1,500.
When Apostle Wells received the directive for the church to relocate, many areas were of interest. The one that would ultimately capture his attention was Warren Street. The property was purchased in November of 2003, and dedicated to the Lord in December of that year. It was January of 2004, when the family of L.W.K.M pooled their resources and began construction on the multimillion-dollar edifice that we occupy today (Acts 2:44-46). It was the favor and grace of God, combined with the drive of the leadership and members, unified to complete the project that brought us to the opening and dedication of our (current) sanctuary on Sunday, October 23, 2005.
Through the obedient leadership and ministry of Apostle Wells, many families within the fold have been blessed spiritually (advancing in the things of God), physically (walking in superb health), and socially (becoming homeowners and entrepreneurs). This is a clear indication of what the Lord is able to do in the lives of his people (Psalms 123:1-3).
